The veins that get swollen and enlarged and its color changes to blue or dark purple are known as Varicose veins. Such veins are generally found on the legs, and appear as twisted, bulging or lumpy. The other symptoms are aching, feet and ankles become swollen, legs become heavy and uncomfortable.
